Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our ambitious team, with a strong background and demonstrated experience across all aspects of Civil Engineering and Project Tendering, excellent project management skills, and a passion for delivering projects of a high quality. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on large scope projects and assist with a variety of external engineering works. Whelans Group are committed to delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions throughout the projects we undertake and to our clients and would like to find an engineer to enhance this level of commitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and reviewing engineering designs, plans, and specifications.
- Leading and managing civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Conducting site inspections and provide technical guidance.
- Managing end to end tendering processes.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Managing the relevant areas of material management, finance tasks, quality and environmental control and handovers.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and team members.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in civil engineering.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and standards.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, TerraModel, and others.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
