What does a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in Water do?

  • Sizing of Mechanical equipment.
  • Design of Mechanical Systems on projects
  • Review site constraints and requirements for Mechanical systems.
  • Create drawings and schematics of projects using CAD software.
  • Review 3D CAD models against project P&ID’s.
  • Calculations for pump hydraulics and review pump curves.
  • Create Mechanical equipment data sheets, schedules, and review recommended vendor data.
  • Carry out site visits, under supervision of a senior engineer, to understand the construction constraints.
  • Follow Stantec's HSSE policies on site and in the office.

Qualifications

About you:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Passion for learning and problem-solving
  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years of experience
