We are seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Design and Survey Services team to provide technical, administrative and professional assistance in the delivery of infrastructure works. Our Design and Survey Services team has successfully delivered completed designs for a broad range of capital infrastructure projects with individual project values up to $20 million.

If Cairns Regional Council has provided it for its residents, our team has likely been involved in the design. In this role you will enjoy undertaking a diverse range of rewarding projects ensuring that no two days are ever the same!

The ideal candidate has a:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • An understanding of civil engineering design and construction along with an aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of current legislation, standards and processes relating to civil engineering and public works.
  • Sound level of oral and written communication skills, including research and report writing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of project management.
