Lead a large, multidisciplinary, and geographically dispersed Civil Services team delivering public civil infrastructure across the Northern Territory

The Civil Services branch of the Department of Logistics and Infrastructure provides project and contract management services to construct and maintain road and related civil infrastructures across the Northern Territory, including roads, bridges, aerodromes, barge landings and marine infrastructure.

As Executive Director, Civil Services your primary objective is to lead the design, construction, and maintenance of public civil infrastructure across the Northern Territory, ensuring the network aligns with the needs of the community and supports the Government’s economic development priorities; and provides high-level support and advice for related Territory-wide emergency preparedness, response, and recovery.

To meet the challenges of this executive role it is essential you have comprehensive knowledge of civil asset related infrastructure legislation, regulation, and best practices, supported by a degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, or extensive experience and eligibility to the Professional Accreditation in Engineers Australia.

Your key responsibilities include providing strategic advice to inform planning, decision making, policy, reform initiatives and service delivery across all civil engineering asset infrastructure programs, as well as monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on performance outcomes. Extensive experience leading the successful delivery of road and related civil infrastructure programs, including Capital Works, Minor New works and Repairs and Maintenance, will assist you drive the development of contemporary governance frameworks, streamline project and contract management systems and innovative practices, optimise team performance, migrate risks and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
