Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects within the company’s engineering department. This role will be primarily onsite and involve managing projects from initiation through to successful completion. You will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage a portfolio of projects from conception through to operational handover, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, timelines and budgets.
- Capital Projects: Oversee a mix of site capital projects, which can cover a broad range of engineering subjects, as well as strategic capital projects focusing on automation, robotics, new production lines, site and capacity expansion, new product introductions, and safety improvements.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to ensure project objectives are met and maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Operational Handover: Ensure seamless transition from project completion to operational status, including vertical startup and effective handover procedures.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and present detailed project documentation and reports, including progress updates and final evaluations.
- Safety and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects adhere to safety standards and maintain quality systems throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing engineering projects, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of automation, robotics, and capital project management.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
